Under its hood, the Volvo XC40 Recharge features…more storage space. But under the floor, the XC40 Recharge finds its motivation in a 75-kW battery pack powering an electric motor on each axle. And with 402 horsepower and 487 pound-feet of torque at its disposal, the XC40 Recharge can sprint from zero to 60 mph in under 4.7 seconds. And with a range of more than 200 miles, Redding drivers can enjoy a week of emissionless commuting on one charge. Of course, there's no need to wait a week, as the battery can be filled from empty to 100 percent in about eight hours with a 3-phase 11kW wallbox. And with a 150-kW D/C fast charger, like those found at highway rest stops, the charging from zero to 80 percent takes just 40 minutes (50-60 miles of charge per 10 minutes).
Accommodations and Versatility
Like all Volvo models, the XC40 Recharge showcases the elegance and sophistication of the automaker's Scandinavian design and craftsmanship, seamlessly blending luxury, advanced technology, and refined Swedish minimalism. The 9-inch central touchscreen allows you to control cabin functions and infotainment via dynamic virtual buttons that become bigger when needed, without having to dig through menus.
